Gospel group Come Alive releases new album

The latest release on the Ugandan Gospel music scene, Alivefest 01- Come by here, by Come Alive Ministries, is to be launched this Sunday at St. Francis Chapel, Makerere.A compilation of original live music, Alivefest 01 is Come Alive’s debut album. It features a rare range of the traditional praise and worship music played with a contemporary touch and outright contemporary gospel music, effectively rendering it high acclaim as probably the best contemporary praise and worship music done by a Ugandan group.Even though the album is rich in talent, both musical and vocal, all the 11 tracks on the CD are the easy sing-along type that can be adopted by Churches.Come Alive general secretary Moses Mukisa says the music was made simple enough so that it could be easily recognisable even by not-so-musical people.This, however, does not water down the wealth of artistry that was sunk into the production of the album.Alivefest 01 brings together the best of talent in piano, guitar, and drums, to make praise and worship music come alive with an R&B tinge.ends
