By Nicholas Kajoba THE Government has increased security measures on Lake Victoria following increasing cases of illegal fishing methods, the commissioner for fisheries has said. Dickson Nyeko said this on Friday at a one-day training workshop for fish supplies and processing establishments at Mukono District Farm Institute, Ntawo. The workshop was organised by the Fisheries department to sensitise fishermen and fish processors on the need to curb illegal fishing methods. He warned fisheries officers against abetting fishermen who specialise in catching immature fish. Nyeko warned officers who retired from the Fisheries department against extorting money from the public. Ends
