Professor M5-Shs.5,066,904= - Shs.5,269,189= p.a. Senior Lecturer M6-Shs.4,194,960= - Shs.4,599,528= p.a. Lecturer M7-Shs.3,420,192= - Shs.3,707,524= p.a. Accountant/ Administrative Secretary TEACHING POSTS Duties The duties for all academic posts include teaching and examining Certificate, Diploma, Degree and Postgraduate students, supervising students' research, carrying out research, publishing and participating in other academic and developmental activities as may be required. REQUIREMENTS Post: Professor Qualifications/Requirements: At least 2nd class degree, Masters degree and/or Ph.D in area of specialization with University level teaching and research experience of at least 10 years, three of which must be at Associate Professor level plus evidence of at least 8 publications produced. A candidate should submit the best five (5) publications. Must also have supervised at least 5 students registered for a post-graduate degree qualification. Duties: Apart from those outlined above, a successful candidate will be expected to give academic leadership in the Department and monitoring to younger up-coming academicians. Terms: Probationary. Post: SENIOR LECTURER Qualification/ Requirements: At least 2nd class Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, a Masters degree and/or Ph.D in relevant area of specialization with University level teaching experience of at least 3 years for a Ph.D or 4 years for a Masters holder. Plus evidence of at least 3 publications. UNIVERSITY SECRETARY'S OFFICE Post: ADMINISTRATIVE SECRETARY - 1 Vacancy Duties and responsibilities: - overall management of office in an academic or non academic department. - Carry out secretarial duties pertaining to the office. Any other duties assigned. Qualifications - A Bachelor's degree in Secretarial Science/or Office Management from a recognised University - Secretarial training and skills - Computer literacy - Two years experience in secretarial duties 2. HOME ECONOMICS DEPARTMENT Post: LABORATORY TECHNICIAN, CLOTHING AND TEXTILE (1 Vacancy) Duties & Responsibilities: - Assist in preparation and conducting of practicals in clothing and textiles. - Make an up-to-date inventory and records of the clothing and textile section. - Make sure that the Laboratory, workrooms and stores for Clothing and Textile Section are kept orderly and with align standard of cleanliness. - Record and report breakage and damages. - Make requests for regular service and necessary repairs of workshop tools and facilities as demanded by the nature of work. - Make regular reports on the state of the workrooms/laboratories at least once a semester. - Any other duties as may be assigned. Qualifications Diploma in Home Economics or its equivalent with clothing and textile components. SALARY SCALE: M12, from shs. 2,472,060= p.a. or shs. 206,005 p.m. 3. BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES DEPARTMENT Post: LABORATORY TECHNICIAN - 1 Vacancy Duties & Responsibilities - To maintain Laboratories in the Department of Biological Sciences, i.e. responsible for Laboratory equipment, their cleanliness, availability, storage and functioning conditions in the Laboratories. - Any other duties as assigned by Head of Department. Qualifications - O' and A' Level Certificates - Ordinary Diploma in Science Technology (ODST) - At least two (2) years relevant working experience. SALARY: M12 Shs. 2,472,060= p.a. OR shs. 206,005 p.m. NB: Management will only contact shortlisted applicants.
