Namugongo gets 100% in Division 1

UGANDA Martyrs’ Secondary School Namugongo has for the second year running recorded 100% Division One passes in the 2001 Ordinary Level examinations.

By John EremuUGANDA Martyrs’ Secondary School Namugongo has for the second year running recorded 100% Division One passes in the 2001 Ordinary Level examinations.A New Vision survey of a few selected schools with a large number of candidates, showed all the 132 students who sat from Namugongo passing in division one.At Mt. St. Mary’s College Namagunga where 143 candidates sat for the exams, only one passed in division two and the rest in division one. Gayaza High with 155 candidates had 152 in division one and three in division two.St. Mary’s College Kisubi with 154 students had 150 in division one and the rest in division two.Namilyango College recorded 137 candidates in division one and the remaining five in division two.The performance in the other schools was as follows: St. Henry’s College Kitovu with 163 candidates had 155 of them in division one and eight in division two, King’s College Budo with 176 candidates had 165 in division one and the others in division two.Kibuli had 172 candidates with 161 in division one, 10 in division two and the rest in division three.Katikamu had 123 of the 139 candidates in division one and the rest in division two.Makerere College School with 179 candidates, had 152 in division one, 25 in division two and the others in division three.Iganga SS with 173 candidates had 78 in division one, 88 in division two and seven in division three.Kitante Hill School with 325 candidates had 90 in division one, 135 in division two, 80 in division three and 15 in fourth division.
