Oh My God!” cried James Ayambirwe.News that his daughter, Catherine Namara had emerged the second best student in Namagunga and in Mukono district hit him like a thunderbolt. All Namara could manage was a crisp exclamation, “What! Oh God!” Then, she screamed and dropped the phone. It was all tears of joy at the Ayambirwe home at Yesu Amala village in Nansana, Wakiso district. Her mother, Margaret Ayambirwe said excitedly: “We will take her out for dinner. God has been faithful to us. She told us that she would work hard to excel. But we did not know that she would come out one of the best.” Namara wore a wide infectious grin throughout the interview. She looked at her mother and smiled. She turned to the father and the trio burst into laughter, carrying us along. Now her mind is set on doing Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM,) at ‘A’ level in Namagunga. “Now I can read to become an civil or electrical engineer,” a smiling Namara said. ends
