By Charity KalebboKen Serukenya and the Black sisters launched an album– beyond words, on easter Monday at Kampala Pentecostal church. The album, comprising 16 songs, is intriguing. Like his other releases, this album drew a lot of excitement from the audience. “The black sisters are my friends and I know how to fit in with their programmes, so mobilising them to meet for practice was not so hard,” says Serukenya.Serukenya, who has been in England for the last three years, returned four months ago and will be going back at the end of April.“The launch was possible by the grace of God,” he adds. The album has songs like Let me start by telling you. “This one is to basically lift up the name of christ,” he says.Serukenya, a musical fan of many christians excited his audience when he played the remix of Akasis and rejoice. He says he replayed these two songs because they were the most popular on his first album. The first section of the album is about lifting the name of Jesus high and it has songs like Adora meaning adoration, then a raggae play of praise the lord regardless of what you are going through. The second section of the album is about the African woman with songs like mama Sheba and woman which are sung by the black sisters. Seruk-enya says beyond words means “I can’t express my gratitude to God.” The next song is NO (no to temptation) and trials. Serukenya closes up with I saw the Lord. His tapes can be found at New day Bookshop and KPC at sh5,000.ends
