FIVE heads of state are convening in Lusaka, Zambia to review the peace process in the DR Congo, report Grace Matsiko and Agencies.Defence minister Amama Mbabazi represented President Yoweri Museveni, presidential spokeswoman Mary Okurut told news agencies.Mbabazi left Entebbe airport for Lusaka yesterday morning. Okurut said Museveni was still in Karamoja where he went last week to supervise the disarmament of Karimojong raiders, also accused of terrorising the locals. Among the first leaders to arrive were presidents Joseph Kabila of DR Congo, and South Africa’s Thabo Mbeki, Namibia’s Sam Nujoma and Rwanda’s Maj. Gen. Paul Kagame. Also expected were leaders of Zimbabwe, Angola and Zambia’s Levy Mwanawasa. The summit comes a day after the latest setback to peace negotiations in Sun City, South Africa.
