Bundibugyo starts agric support programme

By Elias Mwanje THE Agricultural Sector Programme Support project was recently launched in Bundibugyo district.Launching the project at the Council Hall, the minister for Agriculture, Animal industry and fisheries, Dr. Kisamba Mugerwa, said the success of various programmes in modernising agriculture depends on local authorities and farmers.Mugerwa advised the local leaders to ensure that funds sent in their respective areas are properly utilised and accounted for.He said the assistance given by various development partners like DANIDA are meant to supplement the Government aid.Mugerwa urged the residents and local leaders to put in more effort and work together to develop their respective areas.He told the excited residents who included councillors, chiefs and civil servants that Bundibugyo will receive more support to boost development.
