Prison officers promoted

By Charles ArikoPRESIDENT Yoweri Museveni has promoted three senior Prisons officers to the rank of Senior Assistant Commissioner of Prisons. The officers are Lawrence Emorut Ekirapa, Mohammed Ziwedde Kitto and Dr. Johnson Byabashaija. A statement from the Commissioner of Prisons, Joseph Etima, said the promotion brings to four the number of senior assistant commissioners. James Mwanje was promoted earlier.The three top positions in the Uganda Prisons Service have to be approved by the President. The posts are Commissioner of Prisons, his deputy and that of senior assistant commissioners.
