THE acting Resident District Commissioner (RDC), Robert Olajo, has warned Soroti hospital staffs against transporting drunkards in hospital ambulances from boozing joints at night.

By Kenneth OtimTHE acting Resident District Commissioner (RDC), Robert Olajo, has warned Soroti hospital staffs against transporting drunkards in hospital ambulances from boozing joints at night.Olajo said, “it beats my understanding when some hospital administrators use the ambulances to go and drink instead of carrying patients in critical condition.”He said this recently at Serere during celebrations to mark the World Health day.Olajo said with the help of his office, the Police would arrest all ambulance drivers at drinking places.Soroti Chief Administrative Officer George Omuge said he would punish ambulances drivers who misused the ambulances.the World Health Organisation (WHO) donated two ambulances to Serere grade four-health centre in Soroti. WHO country representative Oladapo Walker urged the district and hospital administrators not to misuse the ambulances.Ends
