By Charles Ariko INMATES in Luzira Upper Prison will for the first time in history watch the World Cup due to start on May 31.Prison authorities are in the final stages of erect ing stands for three television sets to be viewed by over 2,000 inmates detained there.Most of the inmates in the Upper Prison are those who have committed serious offences, while those in the Condemn Section are those who have been sentenced to death.The Assistant Commissioner of Prisons in-charge of Prisoners Administration, W. Kururagire, yesterday told The New Vision that they recently received donations of two television sets. He said one of the sets was donated by a Church of Uganda affiliated Organisation, Prison Fellowship-Uganda, while the Catholic Church donated the second set.Kururagire said the inmates were prohibited from watching programmes that depicted violence and crime.
