KAMPALA — The state minister for water, Mary Mutagamba on Thursday told court that Mrs. Semmy Onama issued her a bounced cheque of sh11m.
KAMPALA — The state minister for water, Mary Mutagamba on Thursday told court that Mrs. Semmy Onama issued her a bounced cheque of sh11m. Onama is a sister to former President Milton Obote and a widow to the former Minister for Defence in Obote I regime Felix Onama. Mutagamba said Onama approached her to avail her (Onama) with a land tittle to secure a loan of sh8.5m from Centenary Rural bank. “Onama failed to pay the loan and the bank proposed to sell my land,†Mutagamba told Buganda Road magistrate Susan Kanyange.Ends
