By Stephen SsakuOn May 26, at Mpererwe five miles along Gayaza Road from Kampala, two taxi touts disagreed and fought, after which one asked his adversary for a ‘good fight’.One of them, a diminutive man called Bbule, had solely participated in calling passengers to board a Gayaza-bound vehicle, registration number UPI 704. He later got his dues of sh600 for a job well done. But before he could pocket it, a colleague and fellow tout of sorts called Walakira stepped in and demanded that they share the money, but to no avail. As if Walakira’s imposing figure was not threatening enough, he went ahead and slapped Bbule. This is what led to a fist-fight, which the bully, Walakira, dominated. On-lookers did not interfere. Perceiving himself the underdog, Bbule dived for the crotch of his adversary and pressed his genitals hard. As they swayed and fell, Bbule’s hands stuck like a leech. Seeing no hope of victory, Walakira called upon the crowd to help. Jjama anyigga awazibu’ (please help, this fellow is pressing delicate parts). After over 10 minutes, they were separated and the vanquished Walakira sat down to recover his breath, letting Bbule go on with his work.
