Oyo Calls For More Aid From Tribesmen

CHILD King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV of Tooro has called on his tribesmen residing in Kampala, Entebbe and Jinja to show more faith in the development of the Kingdom, reports Edris Kisambira.The Prime Minister of Tooro, Stephen Nyabongo, said this on behalf of the Omukama who did not grace the inauguration of the first Rutooro mass in Kampala. He said while they were steadfast in their faith, they should show more faith and commitment to the development of the Kingdom. Nyabongo told the congregation who had turned up for the 10:00am mass that the King was unable to attend because he was attending the Heroes Day Celebrations at Kololo. “The Omukama sends you his greetings and heartfelt regrets for not attending this important occasion. His advice to you is to go towards faith and beyond faith for the development of the Kingdom because he knows you are the torch bearers in the struggle towards development of the Kingdom,” Nyabongo said.The mass to be held every month was led by the Bishop of Fort-Portal Diocese, Paul Kalanda and the auxiliary Bishop, Joseph Mugenyi. The mass was aimed at bringing the people of Fort-Portal Diocese residing in Kampala, Entebbe and Jinja, who make up an association known as KEJI.Bishop Kalanda said there is need to step up their commitment to the faith.Ends
