Arua Puts 2002/3 Budget At Sh31.1b

ARUA district local government has approved its 2002/3 budget of sh31.1b representing a 12% increase from 2001/2, reports Dawin Dawa.The central government transfers account for 70% of the budget, donor funds 26% and local funds amount to only 4%, indicating the district is almost entirely relying on the Government and donors.The new district secretary for finance, Swaib Akifo, presented the budget to the new council on June 15 with a special tribute to the central government.
