STATE minister for finance Sam Kuteesa has donated sh1m towards the expansion of St. Andrew’s Church, Kasubi, writes Vision Reporter.

STATE minister for finance Sam Kuteesa has donated sh1m towards the expansion of St. Andrew’s Church, Kasubi, writes Vision Reporter.The parish priest, Rev. Can. Jonathan Kisawuzi Ssaalongo, said construction work required sh70m.Kuteesa’s contribution was delivered by the Rubaga North MP, Tom Kayongo, at a brief ceremony on Wednesday.Other contributors included Ssaalongo Geoffrey Kibuuka who pledged sh100,000 every week until the completion of the church and Tom Kayongo who paid sh500,000.The Archbishop of Wales, UK, Williams Rowan, laid a foundation stone at the church in April.Kisawuzi appealed to all God fearing people to contribute towards this project. The head of the laity, Nathan Ntambi, said Kasubi being one of the fastest growing parishes in the Church of Uganda, the ever increasing Christian population needed the church expansion.Kasubi parish brings together five churches of Bulange, Kawaala, Namungoona, Kasubi and Lusaze.
