By Steven Candia A SUSPECTED notorious city thug said to have shot dead a policeman early this year before going underground has been arrested. The Police arrested Patrick Mukiibi alias Kinene (right) on Thursday. He was detained at the Central Police Station. Kampala Extra region CID chief Moses Sakira on Friday paraded Mukiibi before the press and said more investigations were under way. “He is undergoing interrogations but we are still to catch up with the rest,” Sakira said. However, he remained tight-lipped on where Mukiibi was arrested and other details, saying it was still too early to divulge such information. However, a source at the CPS said security men pounced on Mukiibi in one of the city suburbs where he had gone to check on one of his girlfriends. “We have been tracking him for all this time, at times having narrow misses on him. He is a very elusive man,” Sakira said. On January 5, an unspecified number of armed thugs travelling in an omnibus at Kireka, a city suburb, opened fire at patrol Police pursuing them, killing PC Okalany. Mukiibi was arrested after borrowing a car from Levi Lwanga, who was arrested in connection with the incident. Ends
