By E-mail comes the news that one of our daughters, xxxxxxx has been arrested in the UK for fraud. xxxxxxx is sister to xxxxxxx and xxxxxxx who are wives of celebrated lawyers xxxxxxx and xxxxxxx respectively. The story so far is that she has been arrested for fraud (using somebody's credit card). xxxxxxx is about 25 years old and the circumstances under which she came to UK are doggy. She came mbu to visit over 10 years ago after her O-levels and hooked up with a Ugandan guy who had a British passport and forced him to go down to the registry to get married. She was not granted immediate citizenship unless she showed proof that she had been living with him for over two years. In this time she did all kinds of kyeyo jobs (looking after old people etc) However, the Ugandan man left her having seen through her treachery. So, we now hear she is serving time at her Majesty’s pleasure.
