Kabaka Ronald Mutebi has commended his ministers for their commitment and volunteerism in serving the Buganda monarchy without any pay.Josephine Maseruka reports that the Kabaka was optimistic that if Ugandans developed a culture of volunteerism the nation would develop faster.He was on Wednesday meeting new members of the Lukiiko at his palace at Banda.The ministers led by Katikkiro Joseph Ssemwogerere had gone to to thank the Kabaka for appointing them.“I wish to thank you for accepting to serve the monarchy without any pay and I hope you will continue with this spirit of volunteerism. May God bless you in whatever you do,” the Kabaka, clad in a cream tunic and navy blue jacket, said. Ssemwogerere said as a tradition, the Kabaka stopped appointing clan heads to the Lukiiko. Ministers present included Arthur Bagunywa for local government and his daughter Florence Bagunywa.
