Kakooza jubilate at Kisubi

By Samson Opus KAKOOZA House emerged top at the St Mary’s College Kisubi sports day on Saturday.The champions, who were outstanding in track and field, won after amassing 501 points.The victory sparked off jubilant celebration after the champions dethroned Lourdel House in the annual event.The winners, who dominated soccer, basketball, rugby and tennis ran a neck-to-neck race against former champions Lourdel in athletics.Lourdel House ruled in cross-country and collected 492 points while Kiwanuka followed with 337 and Mugwanya 333.The event was a highlight of the sports season which involved various indoor games like table tennis, chess and volleyball. The guest of honour was MTN board member Charles Mbiire, who donated a DSTV De-corder to the school.At the end of the day, Andrew Bugembe of Kakoosa was crowned sportsman of the year.
