Kanungu man kills four in fire

A jilted man on Thursday night pushed five members of his family into a grass-thatched house and set it ablaze, burning them to death.The LC4 chairman, Ayubu Bari, said the incident which left residents in shock occurred in Kakoni village, Nyarugando Parish, Kambuga. “Jackson Tibamanya alias Magamaga, a retired soldier, first hacked his victims with a panga before hurling them into the burning hut,” Bari said. Bari identified the dead as Peace Bazingura, the assailant’s wife, his mother-in-law Fridah Mutima, 70, Benjamin Orushaba, Gift Namara, 10, and Patience Kyarukundo 12.
