By Norman KatendeDorcus Inzikuru erased the disappointing memories of a 5000m fourth finish at the Commonwealth Games by grabbing a silver medal at the Africa Senior Championships in Tunis on Tuesday.Inzikuru clocked 15 minutes, 54.22 seconds to finish second behind Ethiopian Berhane Adera (15:51.08). Dibaba Ejagyenu, also from Ethiopia, won the bronze medal. The medal was a good consolation for athlete Inzikuru, who was coming back from an injury sustained during the Commonwealth Games 5000m race in which she managed to set a new national record of 15:18.01.“It is a good performance. She might be behind her personal best but being only seconds behind Adere shows that she is gaining from the exposure she is getting,” said UAAF assistant secretary Beatrice Ayikoru.r Boxers Mohammed Kayongo (light-welterweight) and Joseph Lubega (light heavyweight), with their two silver medals, were the centre of attraction as the Commonwealth team returned from Manchester yesterday. The team was received at Entebbe by Education Minister Khiddu Makubuya, who was excited about the two silver medals. The shooting team of two, the weightlifters(3) and table tennis players (2) did not return.“They are still having some competitions.
