Rhino’s captain John Musoke said he could not raise enough players for the team following a spate of injuries and the unavailability of others. “Some of our players are injured, and others are out of town so we cannot raise a full team right now,” Musoke said. “We asked Heathens for a postponement and they agreed.” Meanwhile, six-time champions Underwriter Kobs edged Black Pirates 12-8 in an ill-tempered game at Kampala RFC grounds. Referee Dennis Odongkara failed to take control of the game, causing frustration among players. Several fights broke out but the referee ignored them. In the process Pirates’ Athiyo Nyango suffered a concussion after a tackle by Kobs’ Gama Faisal. He was later taken to hospital. Simon Wakabi had a try and a conversion, and Nathan Wasolo added another for the Kobs. Herbert Wafula had a drop goal and Ronnie Mabonga a try for Pirates. Ends
