A KAMPALA businesswoman and her maid have been sentenced to death by the High Court, for killing the former’s husband.

Justice Musoke Kibuuka said Susan Kigula Seremba, 25, a former proprietor of a gifts shop in the new taxi park in Kampala and Patience Nansamba, the maid, were guilty of hacking Constantine Seremba with a panga in July 2000.

Witnesses said Kigula could have killed her husband on suspicion that he was seeing other women, yet he was unemployed and she was supporting him.

Kibuuka said the Principal State Attorney, Brian Bakora Arinaitwe, had produced credible evidence with consistent witnesses, who included the five-year-old son of the deceased.

The boy told court that he saw Kigula behead his father as Nansamba held his legs.
