REIGNING champions NIC where in ruthless mood as they roasted Mulago in the National netball league played on Saturday at Nakivubo Stadium.
New National Insurance Corporation (NIC) acquisition Annet Nakiwu, who had crossed from arch-rivals URA, was in impressive form spearheading her new side to a satisfactory win on her debut.
The defending champions closed the tie 73-13 to remain on course for another title — the third successive year. NIC has maintained a clean record after winning their first two games against KCC and URA.
Newcomers Mbarara, received a thrashing by KCC. KCC were in full control from the word go 12-5, 37-7, 54-11 and 71-15 in all the four quarters.
Posta, followed suit with a similar whitewash of Prisons 70-18.
Next encounters at the weekend pit KCC against Prisons, URA hosts Mulago and Mbarara plays Posta.
