They will not be going home after all. After enthralling audiences in Kampala, Netherlands-based Congolese family singers Makoma are spreading their wings wider. The group is slated to perform at Rwizi arch Hotel, Mbarara tomorrow, September 20 at 7.00pm for sh10,000. On Saturday, they will be moving to Mbale, where they are slated to hold a show at Wash & Wills starting 7.00pm for sh8,000. On Sunday, the group will be performing in the afternoon at pastor Kayanja’s Rubaga Cathedral for sh5,000. Singer/producer Robert Segawa took over the group promotion from Umoja Entertainment who promoted their first two shows. “Bisa Atyou, the Congolese music representative in Uganda approached me to promote the rest of their shows,” he said.
. He has heard that I had plans to bring this group here last December but failed and thought I would be the best person." Bisa is charged with ensuring that Congolese artists don't suffer the same fate as General Defao who was ripped off by unscrupulous promoters.
