IT is fourth time lucky for referee Fred Mufuta.
Mufuta’s FIFA badge dream has for the past three years turned into a nightmare.
The local soccer governing body FUFA yesterday recommended that Mufuta, runner up to Ali Kalyango in last season’s Nile Special Super League awards, replace Siraj Katono on the list.
This is the fourth time Mufuta’s name has been appearing on the short- list.
Last year’s best assistant referee Hussein Bugembe also replaced retired David Katabira.
Referees: Arthur Bukenya, Mohammed Ssegonga, Yusuf Awuye, Haruna Kebba, Fred Kakooza, Festus Kirumira and Fred Mufuta.
Assistants: Ali Tomusange, Nelson Mubanda, Asuman Kityo, Fred Wanyama, Haruna Mpangiire, Hussein Bugembe and Yahaya Kitti.
Women referees: Catherine Adipo and Margaret Kubingi.
Assistants: Florence Ssemambo and Rosebell Rwamuyamba.
