SIR— When girls or women get married they should not lose identity of their maiden (often family) names.

SIR— When girls or women get married they should not lose identity of their maiden (often family) names. They should carry a tag to let people know who they were (before they got married) or hat their family names are.
This is my suggestion. Assume I have a daughter called Marie Kawuma. If she gets married to a Mr Madaada, then in her married capacity she should always be referred to as Kawuma Mrs M. Madaada. How about that for a start? Any buyer?
