SC Villa was the biggest beneficiary as the player transfers got underway on Saturday.
National defender Sam Mubiru (Police), Tonny Mawejje ( Masaka) and Sam Farouk and Remmy Onyango from Nsambya FC all picked and returned forms indicating transfer to SC Villa.
Villa’s Jimmy Kidega also picked and returned his form indicating that he was moving to Express while KCC’s Joseph Nsubuga wants to return to his former club Police.
Express striker Henry Kakooza was stopped from picking forms because he is a deserter. He had come with KCC manager Badru Kiggwe and Sam Lukanga.
Kakooza and Willy Kyambadde had left the country in quest of green pastures. After absconding from Wankulukuku for over two months Express officials declared them deserters.
Meanwhile Villa defenders Timothy Batabaire and Nestroy Kizito will not travel to Tanzania for the Castle Cup because they will undergoing trials in Bulgaria.
The Cranes leave today for the tournament.
