Siam Auto Dealers (SAD), the sole importer of Siam tyres, has embarked on a massive promotional campaign with Super FM, in a bid to curve its own slot in the market.
Until recently unknown to many local motorists, Siam tyres is a product brand of Thai-based Siam United Rubber Company.
In less than six months of its introduction, the brand has attracted a considerable number of buyers, thanks to SAD’s intensive advertising campaign. About sh13m is to be spent on the three-month promotion.
“We are trying to target, through our dealers countrywide, passenger vehicles like taxis, private cars, pick-up trucks as well as lorries. We have prepapred a number of prizes to be won,” SAD managing director, Robinah Batte said.
She said buyers are issued with reciepts which entitle them to an automatic entry in the draw. Awards include cash prizes of sh1m and sh.5m, mobile phones, tyres and the Trane brand batteries.
Winners, Sam Seppaya a taxi driver, one Nanozi and G. Mayanja, both taxi owners, received in sh10,000 cash.Ends
