INTERNATIONAL Junior Kwebiiha is confident the Uganda under-18 girls will emerge victorious ahead of the regional competitions set for December 15-21 in Nairobi Kenya. Kwebiiha was assigned by the Uganda Cricket Association to coach the squad that will have Gayaza High’s Lucy Nakiboneka and Charity Nanteza as managers.

FUFRA date

UGANDA football referee’s body (FUFRA) has set November 16 as the date for the mandatory Cooper test for all referees intending to officiate in the Nile Special league due to kick off November 23. All referees will be subjected to a fitness test at Namboole stadium starting at 8:00am, a FUFRA circular indicated.

LINCOLN International School of Uganda’s (LISU) girls football team made their intentions very early by topping their group in the International Schools tournament at their premises on Entebbe Road.

HANDBALL:
Lukiya dead

NATIONAL handball player Farijana Lukiya is dead. She died on Wednesday at Mulago hospital. Lukiya was instrumental in Uganda’s dominance in the East and Central Africa Championship till 1998. Until death, Lukiya featured for Bank of Uganda handball club and Post Office netball team.
