New Health Day
LUWERO – The World Mental Health Day celebrations in Uganda will be held on December 6, in Luwero instead of Gulu, which was earlier proposed by health officials. Dr. Sheila Ndyanabangi, a principal medical officer said.

Sleeping Sickness
SOROTI –– In a bid to curb the sleeping sickness epidemic, The Farming in Tsetse fly Controlled Areas, an organisation, has donated 19 litres of glossiness chemical worth sh300,000, nets, 3,500 meters of cloth and three sewing machines, for making tsetse fly traps. Mr. Esilu of the Entomology department said Soroti District had been involved in spraying and clearing of the bushes to prevent the tsetse flies.

'Build Toilets'
Soroti –– The district health inspector, Edward Egau, has urged the Iteso to construct toilets to prevent dysentery and other water-borne diseases. Egau also urged locals to visit health centres for malaria examination.
