Mosquito nets given

RUKUNGIRI — The Woman Member of Parliament, Winnie Masiko, has donated 150 insecticide-treated mosquito nets to expectant mothers in Kebisoni and Bugangari sub-counties, as part of the awareness programme. The campaign is in line with the malaria control strategic plan under the Ministry of Health. The programme carried out in the district was witnessed, among others, by officials from the Ministry of Health. She urged households to use treated mosquito nets to control malaria. Masiko also distributed copies of “Malaria Control Strategic Plans (2001/2-2004/5) of the Ministry of Health.”
