HAMISI Kitagenda wanted to sink the last nail against Heroes but it was Godfrey Ssali’s shot that ensured maximum points for hosts URA SC at Namboole Stadium yesterday.
After being booed by his former fans, who had travelled in great numbers from Mbale, the former Heroes striker tried everything possible to get on the scoreboard in the Nile Special Super League action but in vain.
It was David Kiwanuka, who after a number of missed chances provided a pass for Ssali to slot the ball home and silence the Heroes fans.
The absence of URA midfielder Hood Kawesa, who is in Tanzania for the CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup, saw keeper Ibrahim Mugisha have an extra load of work.
There will be a friendly match between Micho Sredojevich’s Villa and Sam Nsereko’s Buganda select side at Namboole stadium.
League action resumes tomorrow with Jan Fray’s KCC taking on Mbarara. EndsEnds
