JINJA — The minister of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries, Dr. Kisamba Mugerwa, has said the HIV/AIDS pandemic has threatened food security in Uganda.
JINJA — The minister of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries, Dr. Kisamba Mugerwa, has said the HIV/AIDS pandemic has threatened food security in Uganda. Mugerwa, who said 80% of the 24 million Ugandans lived in the rural areas and drew their livelihood from farming,
regretted that, prevalence of the scourge had affected the productive age group, which was detrimental to the household production. He was recently closing a workshop at Sunset Hotel.
