CONTINENTAL debutants Police FC’s ambitions will undergo strong scrutiny by Egyptian club Al Mehalla in the first round Cup Winners Cup encounter.

But coach Paul Hasule is confident he possesses the perfect formula to bring down the more-fancied north Africans.

In an interview after Cranes’ on return from Mwanza Monday, Hasule intimated that in Cranes’ twin strikers Yusuf Kinene and Geoffrey Sserunkuma, he had an explosive striking partnership adding that the goal-scoring pair would be instrumental in his continental pursuit.

“The boys have been playing very well and ideal preparations will see them ready for the challenge,” he said.

Kinene has been regular with Cranes since Hasule took over stewardship while the fast-improving Sserunkuma, scorer of three goals in Tanzania is heralded as Hassan Mubiru’s heir-apparent.

Hasule said he would blend the international exposure the duo has amassed from the Castle Lager and CECAFA Senior Challenge cups to succeed in the club’s maiden appearance on the continent in its 50-year existence.

Mehalla ejected Express FC from the same competition last year.
