THE LC5 chairman Mpigi, Badru Mukalazi has said lack of a district business directory has hindered the development of Mpigi district. He said this has led to low tax revenue for the district.

He was speaking during the district council session in mid-week.

He said Mpigi had only one gazetted town out of 48 in the district. “Out of 48 towns in Mpigi only one is gazetted and well planned i.e. Kabasanda. We must therefore make a policy to increase our revenue base,” he told councillors. He said the directory would be updated.
