THE Bishop of Ankole diocese, the Rt. Rev. Elisha Kyamugambi, has expressed concern over the increasing cases of defilement.
“I call upon all Christians to pray for our young generation that is vulnerable to the dreadful Aids and other sexually transmitted diseases likely to result from defilement,” he said.
Kyamugambi was on Christmas day preaching to over 1,000 Christians during a two-hour Runyankole-Rukiga service at St. James Cathedral, Ruharo in Mbarara district.
Kyamugambi warned the youths to stop loitering in town and advised them to stay at home and help their parents in domestic chores.
“It is very embarrassing to see literate youths crowding on the town streets aimlessly,” Kyamugabi said.
He asked the youth to turn to God for spiritual shelter and protection if they are to prosper. Ends
