KAMPALA City Council Football Club (KCC) has set sh39m as the transfer fee for Livingstone Mbabazi to join Ireland's St Patrick's Athletic FC, reports Peter Ekarot. KCC secretary Fred Ogene said the Irish side has to pay the money before the International Transfer Certificate (ITC) is sent for Mbabazi. "We want 15,000 pound sterling for Mbabazi, then we sign a contract with St. Patrick. If he moves to England, we get 50% of the transfer fees," said Ogene. Mbabazi thus will miss today's Irish Eircom Premiership game against rivals Bohemians FC at Inchicore-Richmond Park stadium in Dublin. Mbabazi sounded very disappointed on phone when The New Vision called him in Dublin. "I am very disappointed. KCC should not have done that to me. "I had even promised to pay KCC out of my personal money if I got salary. The fax from the manager Patrick Dolan was clear that KCC would get 50% when I move to England." Mbabazi is also expected to play for Cranes on January 13 in the Africa Nations Cup against Senegal Lions. The ace international midfielder left Kampala in October and passed the club trials in December. He has been signed on for 2001/02 season pending international clearance from Uganda. Ends
