Abazzukulu want Mengo officials sacked

By Josephine Maseruka Abazzukulu ba Buganda, a pressure group of mostly Baganda youth, on Tuesday asked Katikkiro Joseph Ssemwogerere, to sack Mengo ministers and officials who have publicly taken sides on the presidential candidates. In a meeting at Bulange, Mengo, on Tuesday, the Abazzukulu said Mengo officials who have shown preferences for some presidential candidates have brought controversy and embarrassment to the Mengo institution. The meeting chaired by Jjunju Kamulali, resolved to meet Ssemwogerere over the matter. They also demanded the resignation of the officials involved. The Bazzukulu named several Mengo officials including, ministers Mr Robert Ssebunya for Health, Mrs Joyce Ssebuggwawo for works and women affairs, Mr Kamala Kanamwangi for local government and sazza chiefs, Mr Kitayimbwa Mumira Nsanafu Muteesa, for Mawogola, some gombolola chiefs in Bulemezi and some officials in Kyaggwe as publicly having taken sides on presidential candidates.
