FIVE UPDF soldiers yesterday searched the home of northern Uganda, Bishop Nelson Onono near Gulu town looking for rebel Joseph Kony's high contact, reports Dennis Ojwee. The soldiers reportedly believed that Yusuf Adek was hiding in the bishop's home, 2km outside Gulu town. The information officer at the Diocese, Rev. Willy Akena, said three of the soldiers were in army uniform and were armed with guns while two others were in civilian clothes and had pistols. He said they were travelling in civilian vehicles without proper registration number plates. People in the bishop's neighbourhood said one of the vehicles was a four-wheel drive while the other was a saloon car. Bishop Onono said the soldiers were led by the 4th Division Officer in Charge of Operations, Paul Lukech. He said Lukech told him they had been sent by their bosses in Gulu barracks to look for Adek, who was suspected to be hiding in the home. Onono said he last saw Adek last year when he had gone to see him in Nairobi, Kenya. Brig Henry Tumukunde, the 4th Division Commander, denied knowledge of the operation at Onono's home. Ends
