By Eddie Ssejjoba The Rakai Resident District Commissioner, Mary Francis Owor, has said former mayor of Kampala, Al Hajji Nasser Sebaggala, is a coward. Owor was reacting to reports that Sebaggala had accused the district leaders of disrupting his campaign rallies. She said during Sebaggala's recent campaign tour of Rakai, to seek support for presidential candidate Col. Kizza Besigye, he was upset by the poor response he got in most parts of the district. Owor said after failing to get support in the area, Sebaggala instead accused some leaders of harassing Besigye's supporters. While addressing a rally in Kalisizo and Kyotera towns, Sebaggala reportedly warned some security officials and district leaders against intimidating his supporters. He reportedly said a certain District Internal Security Officer had been tracking his movements since he came back from jail in the US. Sebaggala's special assistant, Mathias Nsubuga, told the New Vision that a group of hooligans had been hired by Besigye's opponents to shout at them at Lwamaggwa Trading Centre. He said the hooligans chanted candidate Museveni's slogans and interrupted their meeting. A campaigner for candidate Yoweri Museveni in Rakai, however, said after the NRM anniversary celebrations, they camped at the home of Besigye's national campaigner Betty Kamya. He said they had converted her relatives. He said Sebaggala was overwhelmed by their mission and moved away embarrassed. Ends
