FFUMBE romped on top as the Bika boxing championship entered a crucial stage at Lugogo yesterday.
The champions who stretched their tally to 13 points to displace previous joint leaders Mamba and Ngo who are joint second at nine points.
Mbogo and Ngeye followed with six and five points respectively while Nsenene, Mpolongoma, Lugave and Mpewo trail with one each.
Ffumbe, however, faced the wrath of the law with the disqualification of light welterweight Joseph Musamya who was found to be a non Muganda.
The highlight of the day was in Bantamweight contest where Ali Sekiranda (Ngo) turned Semakula Mubadi (Lugave) into a punching bag forcing referee Patrick Sendigya to halt the fight.
Musamya, a Samia of Busia who was masquerading as Walusimbi had clearly won the quarterfinal bout against Philip Kakande of Ngeye before jury head Jerome Kanakulya nullified the result.
It was Musamya's second appearance in the annual event meant to promote boxing among the Baganda.
