ELECTORAL Commission officials in Masaka district have asked the police to investigate allegations that the municipality MP. Dr. Shanon Kakungulu, tore down presidential candidate Kizza Besigye's posters, reports Eddie Ssejjoba. The district assistant returning officer, Yusuf Senteza, said the allegations against Kakungulu needed to be investigated immediately so that the law could take its course. This follows accusations by Besigye's camp in the district that Kakungulu, who reportedly moved with armed men, recently removed about six Besigye's posters from a bill board at Kayiba on Kitovu Road in Masaka town. Besigye's deputy task force chairman Rayllus Mayanja told the task force meeting on Saturday at Masaka town that Kakungulu tore off their posters and replaced them with Museveni's. The billboard formerly belonged to Protector Condoms company but the advert was removed after the clergy complained against it. Mayanja said Kakungulu also threatened Besigye's supporters who tried to prevent him from removing the posters. Ends
