Ndejje top in varsity run race

By Robert Bukenya Ben Chesang won the men's 12km race and Anna Adatu the women's eight km race, to spur Ndejje University to victory in the Inter-universities cross country championship on Sunday. The Championship attracted eight universities with more than 70, competitors braving the scotched the sun at Makerere University. The Sports minister Makerere University Brian Nsubuga said the championship was used to select the National team. The national Inter-universities team will compete at the Inter-East African University games in Nairobi in June. r World 1,500 metres champion Hicham El Guerrouj will run over two miles for the first time in the Birmingham indoor grand prix this Sunday.
