Prove Remarks, Njuba Tells Wife

Kizza Besigye's campaign team, has challenged his wife Gertrude to prove that he is frustrated and seeking revenge against President Yoweri Museveni. Mrs. Njuba, a presidential advisor and campaign agent, was yesterday quoted in the media as saying that most of Besigye's campaign agents, including her husband, are a frustrated lot seeking revenge against the incumbent. Njuba told The New Vision yesterday, "I want you to ask that woman whether she can prove her claims." Njuba, a Kampala lawyer, asked why his wife who has been claiming to have a stable marriage, made such claims. He said since she claimed to know the cause of his grudge against Museveni, she should explain it to the press. He said he would make a rebuttal after that. Mrs. Njuba, addressing Museveni's Jinja district task force at the Jinja Town Hall on Saturday, said she was ready to explain how Besigye's agents were failures. Efforts to reach Mrs. Njuba yesterday were futile. Ends
