Britain To Give Sh1b Aid

KAMPALA - The British government has earmarked a sh1b grant for poverty eradication in Kawempe (Kampala) and Mpumudde (Jinja) divisions. Local government minister Jaberi Bidandi Ssali will launch the project at Mpumudde today. The project is to be administered through the Department for International Development (UK). The Uganda local/urban authority and national co-ordinator, Raphael Magyezi, said the project would benefit over 400 people in its first year. Ends
