Sir- In the article "Uganda has few Radiologists" on your New Vision website recently at a meeting of the Uganda Society for Advancement of Radiology. I agree to the importance of having more radiologists and radiographers in the need to improve radiology services in Uganda. As a diagnostic radiographer practicing in the United Kingdom, radiology is one of the primary diagnostic tools in patient care and management. The services use plain x-ray films, computed radiography, fluoroscopy including angiography and cardiac cathetherisation, helical CT scan, ultrasound, nuclear medicine , magneti resonance (MRI) and breast screening. Ministry of Health should look at this strategy and invest more money in the Radiology Department, Mulago Hospital which is well staffed but under equipped. Equipping the department is the way forward. David Babumba London
