Besigye Vice-Chairman Decries Election Violence

THE vice-chairman of Col. Kizza Besigye national task force, Dr. Francis Runumi, has appealed to the international community and President Yoweri Museveni to intervene in the alleged intimidation of Besigye's supporters by "state agents."

THE vice-chairman of Col. Kizza Besigye national task force, Dr. Francis Runumi, has appealed to the international community and President Yoweri Museveni to intervene in the alleged intimidation of Besigye's supporters by "state agents." Darious Magara reports that Runumi, the LC5 chairman of Kabale district and co-ordinator of Besigye's task force in the south-western region, said state agents were involved in intimidation and violence yet they were not being reprimanded. Runumi said this on Wednesday while addressing Besigye supporters in Kisoro town. Besigye and Runumi addressed the rally. Ends
