By Vision Reporters Presidential candidate Col. Kizza Besigye has called for lists of people intimidating his supporters, promising to deal with them if elected. "List anyone intimidating you and forward the name to my national task force in Kampala. Nitwija kubakoraho. Twaheza obururu," (we shall deal with them after elections), Besigye told a huge rally at the Rwenzori Square in Kasese town on Saturday. Besigye said he had received reports of intimidation against his supporters in some parts of Kasese district. He asked President Museveni to intervene in the election violence since he is still in control. Besigye cited an incident in Kisinga sub-county in Bukonzo East where one of his supporters was allegedly kidnapped by a UPDF soldier. "Tell that soldier to stop harassing my people because the new commander-in-chief is in the making," Besigye warned, drawing cheers from his supporters. In a live-talk show on Messiah Radio, Besigye alleged that up to 20,000 of his campaign T-shirts were stolen by the Kalangala Action Plan Group led by Maj. Kakooza Mutale. He said they were using the T-shirts to impersonate his supporters and implicate them in election violence. Besigye blamed the 1999 Kanungu massacre on weak facilitation of the intelligence system. Earlier, Besigye addressed rallies in Katwe Kabatoro, Mpondwe, Kisinga, Kyalumba and Kyondo sub-counties where he said he would scrap graduated tax, state house bursaries and improve on the UPE.
